If you’re a fan of food, music or fun, you’ve come to the right city. If you don’t like those things, we apologize. We must have invited you by mistake. Check out the list of our favorite New Orleans spots below. (And please don’t use this map if you’re actually trying to get anywhere. Use an actual map. )

 

To Eat:

  • Cafe Du Monde - coffee and beignets! A NOLA must see. 

  • Central Grocery - Muffuletta Sandwich is a must!  

  • Commander's Palace - Old school NOLA fine dining if you’re feeling fancy. (Reservations a must)

  • Willie Mae’s Scotch House - Real deal southern cookin’. (Take an Uber! Only open until 5PM)

  • The Praline Connection -  great soul food. 

  • Eat a real Po’ Boy. 

  • Acme Oyster House - If you dare, try the oyster shot!

  • Turkey and the Wolf - Great sandwiches in the Lower Garden District. 

To Drink:

  • Arnaud's French 75

  • Patty O’Briens - Get your traditional NOLA Hurricane.

    (InsiderTip: We will after party at this staple at the end of the night on Saturday :)

  • Bar Tonique on Rampart - Craft cocktails 

  • Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop - Oldest bar in New Orleans

To Do:

  • Explore the Quarter - Go for a stroll to shop & look at the architecture.

    (Insider TIp: Grab a take away drink if you are in the mood. It’s legal!)

  • Ride the St. Charles Streetcar ($1.25) and check out the beautiful mansions of the Garden District

  • Sign up for a Ghost Tour

  • Check out Voodoo Authentica on Dumaine St in the Quarter

  • Check out the WWII Museum

  • Ogden Museum of Art

  • Audubon Park

  • Take a swamp cruise

    Ride on a steamboat on the Mississippi River

To Listen:

  • Frenchman Street  - An amazing street to the north of the French quarter known for live jazz music.

    (Insider Tip: Spotted Cat is one of our favorites on Frenchman Street) 

  • Preservation Hall - Amazing live music in the heart of the French Quarter.

    (Insider Tip: You can buy tickets in advance or try your luck queuing up night of 30-45min before the show)

One More Thing:

  • When you are in tourist areas, remember to not take any bets from anybody on guessing where you got your shoes. 

    The correct answer to that scam is always, "I got 'em on my feet, on XXX street, here in New Orleans.
